The Bantering of Wits
You played off my observations;,
I countered your bright wit.
Then you found droll my sayings
Like a parody or skit.
The tempo of our interchange
Picked up as thoughts snowballed.
Through laughter and rebut its range,
With mutual spoof enthralled.
Another day, its usual pace,
Past levity we'd aired,
I find a smile tug at my face,
remembering humor shared.
